1st Kinotrip International Film Festival

Between 24 and 27 March 2016, the first Kinotrip International Film Festival took place at Kinodvor. Following the slogan ‘Let Film Take You Away!’, a team of young film buffs created a comprehensive cinema experience for the young.

From the selection of the festival’s name and its programme to its organisation, it was all carried out (under the mentorship of the project leader Živa Jurančič) by the young involved in Kinotrip – Kinodvor’s project by the youth for the youth.

The Kinotrip festival consisted of eight film destinations. In four days, more than 1400 young viewers visited us at sixteen film screenings.

We also hosted young film guests from abroad: Francesca Agostini, the leading actress from the festival’s opening film Short Skin, Ilayda Akdoğan and Tuğba Sunguroğlu, stars of the multi-award-winning Mustang, and Marlon Boess, an actor from Beautiful Girl.

In addition to the film screenings, the festival also offered 14 accompanying events, organised in cooperation with numerous partner organisations and individuals.

We thank all who contributed to the organisation of the festival and covered the film trips of the young and invite you to keep travelling with us across different film worlds created by the youth for the youth.
