Bella and Vipulan are young climate activists with a quite pessimistic view of the state of our planet. In this documentary film, we follow them on their little odyssey across the continents, to which they were invited by the film’s director in search of a solution for a greener future.  During their journey, they meet various experts, politicians, farmers and other activists, thus gaining an insight into the complex and branchy relationships between people, animals and the environment. Their journey also takes them into the unexpected for, on the horizon, they find hope.

Let film take you away with a ray of hope!

»Initially, we really wanted to focus on the five main causes of extinction and find answers to each of them, but during the filming process we realised that in the end it was the two of them, Bella and Vipulan, and their journey, that were the most interesting.«
– Cyril Dion

»Although there have been many documentaries on climate change, I found Animal something different from the others. Rarely are young people featured in documentaries and the world view of Bella and Vipulan was something new and positive. But the film also presents many other people, in different situations, with different perspectives. I think the film does a good job of showing the complexity of some problems and that there are no easy solutions to them.«
– Anaïs Vrtunski, member of the 8th Kinotrip generation

»The film moved me, especially with its maturity, which comes from the optimism with which it tackles the issue of human-animal coexistence. As the director mentions, climate documentaries are often depressing and gloomy, which can leave the viewer feeling hopeless, but Animal gave me the drive, who can I talk to, where can I help? What kind of protests, what kind of petitions, what kind of production can I support.«
