IMDb

Eva has been working as a corrections officer for several years. A conscientious and dedicated worker, she tries to treat the prisoners with kindness and humanity. She shows an almost maternal instinct in attempting to educate and anger-manage the inmates. But everything changes when a fresh batch of convicts arrives, and Eva stiffens when she sees a familiar face among them. To the astonishment of her colleagues, she asks for a transfer to the high-security section where the most dangerous inmates are housed. And so begins an unsettling psychological thriller in which Eva’s sense of justice puts her morality and her future at stake.

“I see Eva as a woman imprisoned by grief and Sidse is so vibrant and full of life and has so much energy. I thought there was something interesting in contrasting her natural personality with the very conflicting personality of the character. There is life and vitality in her even though she is in such an imprisoned state.” (Gustav Möller)
