Little Harbour Piata lod'

Iveta Grófová / Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic / 2017 / 90 min / Slovene subtitles, English Subtitles, Slovak / 10+

A story inspired by true events about two children whose innocent play will change their lives forever. Film Little Harbour had its world premiere at IFF Berlinale 2017 where it was awarded with a Crystal Bear for The Best Film in Generation Kplus section.

The film will be screened with English subtitles.

Ten years-old and living with a mother who is not yet ready to be a Mum, Jarka is pushed by her desire to love and form a family to the point where she finds herself giving shelter to two abandoned twin babies.

A new Slovak film based on the successful book The Fifth Boat by Monika Kompaníková, which became the Slovak Book of the Year in 2010. Second feature film by director Iveta Grófová; whose debut, Made in Ash, was nominated as the Slovak entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar in 2012.

„We selected a film that is creative and authentic. It’s about two children who create a little world of their own rules. We found the story very moving and the actors are very believable too.“, members of the Children’s Jury reasoned their decision.

Presented as part of a Special Film Program, on the occasion of the V4 CONNECTS - Hungarian Presidency 2017/2018 of the Visegrad Group. With the support of the Embassies of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and the Slovak Republic.
